KAYLOA GURR
Hi, I'm Kayloa Gurr
I woke up early one morning with a thought as random as they come,
“If I had a spirit fruit (like a spirit animal), it couldn't be a mango. I’d eat myself. Then where would I be? A mango cannibal without a body. So it has to be a pineapple. Though delicious, I wouldn’t be able get past the skin.”
For as long as I can remember I’ve always had a ravenous love affair with fruit, especially tropical citrusy fruit. Lemons, grapefruit, mangos, bananas, kiwi, and pineapple have all laid claim to my stomach.
Despite my name, I grew up, not along the beaches of Hawaii, but within the lovely mountains of Utah.

Below are a few words to describe different pieces of who I am.

Curious Explorer
I like to dig in and immerse myself in new experiences. I’m currently trying my hand at mountain biking and poetry.
Storyteller
Stories, words, music and design simply captivate me. I’ll gladly stay up late finishing a book, get lost in a museum or try my hand at telling a story.
Collector
Besides stories and insights, I collect vests, rocks, recipes, clothing tags, books, words and phrases. Check out my current collection.
Morning Person
Either avoid me or join me.
Resilient Planner
I find a way to make things happen regardless of imposing failure. I am someone who has ambition residing in the forefront of my thoughts and actions.
Nomad
Staying still is not for me unless I’m in a favorite spot that includes either one of these: thrift stores, a park, a comfy couch, the kitchen, being among friends, watching snow fall, walking on crunchy leaves, or my car.
Introvert
Happy, chill, friendly and a dashing amount of salt(iness)
